The 2010 Lexington Passion Play

For eighteen years The Lexington Passion Play has brought the crucifixion, death, and resurrection of
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into many people's lives like they have never seen it before. As the 2010 Lexington
Passion Play comes to an end it is our sincere hope that you were blessed, in some small way, with this year's performance
and that the seeds of God's love for you, planted by our portrayal, grows into a deeper, more personal walk with God.
Hope to see you next year.

Valentine Sweetheart Dinner

Gardenside's annual sweethart dinner was held on February 20, 2010 in Fowler hall. Approximately 30
couples were treated to a wonderful evening of food, fun, and fellowship. The evening began with a four course dinner
which included appetizer from the chocolate fountain, salad, chicken cordon bleu entree, and cheesecake dessert.
The evening was capped off with multiple games which included a Gardenside version of the Newlywed game. A wonderful way
to spend an evening.

Christmas Toy Project

The annual Elkhorn Baptist Association Christmas toy project was held on Thursday, December 17
in the Gardenside Sanctuary. This event allowed needy families to purchase Christmas gifts at 10% of the retail cost. During the
course of the evening Gardenside members would supply fully wrapped Christmas presents to 258 children. A very appropriate
way to remember that the first gift of Christmas was a child to Mary. Thank you to everyone who participated and dolnated
toys to make this project a success. Merry Christmas everyone!

Women's Ministry Tea

The Gardenside Women's Ministry Tea was held on Saturday, December 5th in Fowler hall. It
was a time for young girls, mothers and daughters, and women of all ages to come together for a morning of food, fun, and
fellowship. With Fowler hall being filled almost to capacity, it's no surprise the many pictures need a separate webpage to
display them all. Images from the event can be found here.

Gardenside Anniversary Celebration
|
It was a full sanctuary on Sunday August 23rd to hear Gardenside's first pastor, Dr. Roy Fowler, deliver the Sunday message
like he had done so many times before when he was Gardenside's first pastor between 1957 and 1960. The service was blessed with
several charter members of Gardenside Baptist Church in attendance as well as several former church staff members present
for this very special event. Dr. Landon presented Dr. Fowler and his wife with a plaque acknowledging his years of service as well as some
pictures known to be some of the first pictures ever taken at Gardenside Baptist Church.
After the service everyone made their way to Fowler Hall for a relaxing and filling pot luck lunch.
There was plenty of good food, delicious desserts, great company, and fellowship.
